District 27 Toastmasters International, serves over 4000 members and more than 200 Clubs in District of Columbia, Northern Virginia, and Southwestern Maryland. District 27 is one of eight Districts in Region_VII.
The District Governor acts as the Chief Executive Officer. The Lt. Governor of Education and Training is the second highest ranking officer. This person is responsible for monitoring educational and leadership awards as well as providing club offcier training adn presiding over the planning of the District Conferences which are held twice each year. The Lt. Governor of Marketing is responsible for building new Toastmasters Clubs while maintaining the existing clubs in the District.
